COVID-19 Safety Procedures

This page and rules is current and was updated on August 1, 2021.

If you have any questions or concerns with this information please e-mail the studio directly or call our office with your concerns.  The well being of our students and their families is our number 1 priority.

Ventilation Equipment:

  • Our building HVAC unit was upgraded to meet safety standards.  All units have MERV13 filtration installed.

  • The HVAC unit will continually pump and circulate fresh air throughout the building.

  • In addition to the HVAC unit and the MERV13 filters -- we also have stand alone medical grade HEPA13 filtration units inside every classroom.  These units are powerful enough to circulate the air in the entire room every 15 minutes.

Mask Wearing Guidelines:

  • All dancers, parents/guardians, and staff members must be wearing a face mask at all times when inside our building regardless of vaccination status.

  • We will make sure to give the dancers enough water breaks during their lessons.

  • Instructors will adjust their lesson plans to never have the students reach full cardiac exertion so that they can feel comfortable dancing in a mask.

Dance Studio Capacity:

  • Based off the size of the room and making sure each dancer has 6 feet of space around them, here is the max student number -- 12 dancers and 1 instructor in Studio A, 10 Dancers and 1 instructor in Studio B, 8 dancers and 1 instructor in Studio C.

  • All family members are encouraged to drop off and return, or wait outside in their cars.

  • Waiting areas are only open to parents of children under the age of 5, or to parents of children with a special need.

  • Class schedules have offset start and end times to reduce the number of students/parents in the common areas at one time.

  • Please do not arrive early to eliminate any unnecessary waiting around.

  • Students who take multiple classes will wait in their classroom for the next class to begin.

Inside The Dance Rooms:

  • The dance studio floors have been marked off with tape.  Each student will have a X marker on the floor to stand on while dancing.  Each X mark is 6 feet apart.

  • All shared dance props, ballet barres, hula hoops, and mats will be sanitized and wiped down in between each use ensuring every item is clean before touching.

Cleaning and Sanitizing:

  • All high touch items will be sanitized between every dance class.  This includes (but not limited to) door handles, stair case railings, and the dance floors themselves.

  • The restroom will be cleaned and sanitized every hour, on the hour.

  • There will be hand sanitizer stations on the wall at the entrance of each dance room and also in the common areas.

  • Anti-Bacterial hand soap will be available in the restroom.

  • All students must wash their hands or use hand sanitizer before entering the dance room.

Health Screening:

  • All staff members will be screened and have temperatures taken at the start of their shift.

  • Any staff member found ill or with symptoms will be immediately sent home and the dance studio will be sanitized from top to bottom.  This will take place before any students enter the facility.

  • If a staff member is found ill or with symptoms all dance families will be notified immediately.

  • Students who seem symptomatic will be dismissed immediately.  A family member will be contacted for immediate pick up.  The dance studio will be sanitized from top to bottom and all classmates family members will be contacted and made aware.

  • If a COVID case or suspicion arises you will be contacted immediately so that the proper steps can be taken and everyone is ma
