Competition Team

If your child is looking to participate in Dance Competitions, then this is the place!  Creative Steps offers a competitive dance experience without taking away from the culture or philosophy of our dance studio.

A dance competition can provide a lot of key elements that can help children grown into amazing humans.  You will learn to present yourself in front of an audience, how to take constructive criticism and use it to improve yourself, and you will learn how to be a team player working together with your peers.  These are all skills that go above and beyond the dance studio walls.

Of course it is fun too!  Your child will get to compete and perform 2 times in the spring outside of our usual Dance Recital.  So it is an extra performance opportunity for them.

​

There will be additional fees associated with Competitive Dance.  Fees will be charged in the fall and will include entry fees and costume fees.  These numbers will be known once we enroll into the competitions late September.  Monthly tuition for the team classes will be calculated into your regular tuition by time danced per week.

​

The Competitive Team and our Performance Company will not have conflicting rehearsal times or show times so it is easy to do both!

​

Teams Meet on the following days.  All dancers must be enrolled in a matching level Excel Dance class weekly.  Ballet classes are required for non Hip Hop teams.

LYRICAL/JAZZ- Competition Team Level 1 + 2 :  Fridays 5:45 - 6:30pm

HIP HOP - Competition Team Level 1 + 2:  Fridays 6:30 - 7:15pm

LYRICAL/JAZZ- Competition Team Level 4 :  Tuesdays 8:00 - 8:45pm

​

LYRICAL/JAZZ- Competition Team Level 5 :  Tuesdays 8:00 - 8:45pm

​

JAZZ- Competition Team Level 6 :  Mondays 8:00 - 8:45pm

LYRICAL Competition Team Level 6 :  Wednesdays 7:30 - 8:15pm

TRIO Competition Team Level 6:  Thursdays 7:30 - 8:15pm
