I can say that I love the relaxed atmosphere at CSDS-- the kids get serious dance instruction but to them it feels like play -- they are excited to go to dance every single week. I also love that you welcome parent involvement and input -- you ask us what we'd like (in terms of schedules, even costume colors) and you honor our suggestions.
You, Michelle, are so much the heart of CSDS. It is so obvious how much you love what you do. You are calm, patient, and organized, and have a magical way with kids. That you include a teacher performance in all your recitals really speaks to your love for dance and your strengths as a leader. The kids love to see you get out there and make the same kind of efforts that they do -- and have fun too!
As a woman and a mother, I have tremendous respect for your having started your school from the ground up. That takes dedication, heart, patience, creativity, and bravery! I want to stay at a dance school that I know means so much to it's founder. We keep coming back because your dedication to dance and to our kids's success is unwavering.

My daughter Molly has been dancing with Creative Steps for almost 7 years. She was in one of the first classes when the studio opened. Over the years I watched the program grow from a few students to one of the busiest child dance programs in Newton. This is a testament to Miss Michelle and her amazing low key, stress free, dance philosophy. Her classes are organized but fun. The kids are taught in a patient manner that incorporates both classic and modern choreography. She takes great pride and genuinely loves her dancers. Every year she organizes an amazing recital and manages to keep the fees to a minimum. She is always thinking about the families and how to make the process as organized and stress free as possible. She works to hire the best teachers and listens to all parent feedback to make the program better each year. Michele is a professional, and her business is her heart and soul. I have recommended the studio to many friends and I would continue to do so.

This is my daughters 7th year at Creative Steps. I will admit that I was first drawn in by the price tag. Having two girls that love to dance, can be expensive! I realized very soon after enrolling them Michelle really cares about her students. She listens to the parents suggestions for class types and class times. Offering unique dance classes like Musical Theater, Lyrical and Modern. She has specialized classes for more experienced students, and she creates a positive example for all students involved. My daughters have not only gained advanced dance skills, but they have gained confidence as well.
Michelle and Jen both have been dancing for years, and their love of dance shows. Their technique and extra attention really makes the classes fun and challenging at the same time. The extra touches like the Holiday show the kids love. All performances are voluntary, so if your child loves to dance but is not into the "stage" they can come to the studio, dance with no pressure. It is wonderful.
I can't imagine my daughters dancing anywhere else!

My 4 year old son attended Creative Steps Dance Studio. When I found out he would be going to a dance class I thought NOT MY SON. After a couple of weeks all he could talk about was getting to go see Ms. Michelle. He had sooooo much fun!! When the time for the big show came I saw how much hard work they put in to teaching all of the kids. They are a proffesional, caring team that have a true compassion for the work they do. About 5 years ago a friend told me about Creative Steps Dance Studio. We tried out a class and my girls have been dancing there ever since. I love Michelle's passion, flexibility and attention to detail. Many times over the years Michelle has gone out of her way to help me -- whether it was finding two classes at the same time for my two daughters to attend or letting me trade some ballet shoes so I didn't have to buy brand new shoes! Another reason that I have my girls go to Creative Steps is that it is FUN and REASONABLY priced-- I did not want my girls to feel that it was too serious, stressful or competitive. Michelle has all the kids work together and respect one another. CSDS is fun and my girls love going there to dance!

My daughter has been dancing at Creative Steps Dance Studio for 5 fun amazing years. She is never sad to see summer end because she knows it will be time for dancing once again. When she began as a first grader, she danced for a half hour each week. Now she is going to be enrolled for 5 different types of dances in the fall including toe. She is very excited and would dance with Ms. Michelle for 12 months out of the year if it were possible. Ms. Michelle keeps the classes very affordable and allows families to pay each month. The recitals are well run with great organization and wonderful entertainment. The students leave each recital with a strong sense of pride and accomplishment. It is a pleasure to be part of Creative Steps Dance Studio.

I have been teaching at Creative Steps Dance Studio for four years now and have loved every minute of it. The atmosphere at Creative Steps is always fun and inviting for kids with diverse interests in dance. I appreciate that studio welcomes every kind of dancer from kids looking for a fun way to exercise to kids looking to fine tune their dance technique. In addition, the flexible schedule gives students the opportunity decide on their own personal program of dance studies with classes including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre Dance, Modern, and Lyrical. Creative Steps has something to offer everyone. Michelle is the ultimate fearless director as she works hard to ensure that every student and parent has a positive experience at Creative Steps and to provide all students with unmatched dance education and performance experience. In my opinion, Creative Steps is the best place to teach, learn, and dance.

Creative Steps is my favorite place to dance because there are so many classes to take and there are lots of combination classes so I can get many different styles of dance in one class. The classes there are in a very fun environment and I look forward to dance every week.
Dance has also helped me to become less shy and make many new friends. I can't imagine what my life would be like without dance. I love to dance especially at Creative Steps Dance Studio.
